ETIOLOGY

By David Martinez

It is caused by a herpes virus type 1 (BHV 1) that has several different strains. The main form of dissemination and therefore of contagion is through aerosols, when it comes to respiratory presentation. In the case of the genital form, it is transmitted via venereal, by preputial or vaginal discharges, semen or by fetal fluids and tissues that accompany an abortion (Quiroz, 2012)
